Dirty garbage cans are a problem that compounds over time
Garbage cans accumulate bacteria, mold, odour, and organic residue every week. The can gets turned upside down to be emptied and major items fall out, but there's a lot left behind.
Dirt, grime and filty liquids build up over week after week of bags bursting and non-bagged items being thrown into the can. The conditions inside an uncleaned garbage can are near-ideal for bacterial growth, mold, pest attraction, and odour.
The difference is clear.
This is what professional hot water garbage can cleaning actually does.

Why commercial properties need professional garbage can cleaning
Appearance and first impressions
The back of a restaurant, the waste area of a multi-residential building, the garbage station at an event venue. People notice the details you overlook. Foul-smelling, visibly contaminated garbage cans leave an impression on staff, customers, and anyone else who walks past them.
Health and hygiene compliance
Dirty garbage cans are a documented source of E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria, and mold. Salmonella can survive for weeks inside an unclean can. In food service, healthcare, and institutional settings, that is not an abstract concern.
Pest attraction
The organic residue left behind after emptying is a primary attractant for flies, rodents, and raccoons. Regular cleaning removes the food source and breaks the cycle. An uncleaned can is an open invitation.
Who on your team wants to do it?
Waterloo region only switched to these large wheeled garbage cans in March 2026. You may know that you need to clean them, but who on your existing team wants to add this to their plate? It's not the most fun job in the world, we know! That's the gap we fill, reliably, on a schedule that works for your property.

Why Work With We Clean Garbage Cans?
Purpose-built equipment, not a pressure washer on a trailer
Our truck is purpose-built with a high-pressure hot water system that reaches up to 93°C/200°F and a closed-loop water filtration system. Dirty water is captured, filtered, and reused. Nothing enters the storm drain. This is a meaningful commitment to doing the job properly and taking care of your property and the environment.
Hot water sanitization, not a rinse.
The bacterial kill threshold is 65°C. Our equipment operates at 88°C to 93°C, exceeding that threshold by more than 20 degrees. That is the difference between moving bacteria around and actually eliminating them.
Environmentally responsible by design
Garbage can wash water is not grey water. It contains fats, oils, bacteria, and organic matter that are regulated as liquid industrial by-product. Our closed-loop system means none of that enters the storm drain. We use eco-friendly, biodegradable products on every clean.
